However, modern mobile alarms now come with GPS tracking capabilities, which can be used to pinpoint your location in an emergency, especially if you are unable to communicate your whereabouts.

If you're looking for a personal alarm service that offers the latest in safety technology, be sure to look for one with GPS tracking capabilities, like the Tunstall Gem4.

How does the Tunstall Gem4's GPS Tracking work?

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. GPS tracking involves using a network of satellites to determine the location of a device on the earth. The device, which can be anything from a mobile phone to a personal alarm like Tunstall Gem4, contains a GPS receiver that picks up signals from the satellites. By triangulating the position of the satellites, the receiver is able to calculate its own location.

When the wearer triggers an alert by pressing the SOS button, the Tunstall Gem4 automatically connects to our Customer Care Centre that which will determine the wearer's location and call emergency contacts like family or friends, or even emergency services if needed.

It is important to note that Tunstall’s Personal Alarms only track your location once you’ve pressed the SOS button and requested for assistance. The device will not be monitoring your whereabouts 24/7.
