3G Shutdown
The Telstra 3G network will be shut down by June 30th 2024, meaning all existing communications technology will have to be upgraded to 4G or higher.
After the shutdown, 3G devices using Telstra SIMs will no longer work. This includes a range of older Tunstall personal alarms. Alarm users who have not transitioned by this time will be left without a means to call for asssitance following the shutdown.
